We started Intent with a simple, yet powerful mission: to improve the enterprise purchasing experience for everyone.

We have spent a cumulative decade in enterprise SaaS across customer-facing, product management, and engineering roles, and we have personally felt the inefficiencies and frustrations when it comes to responding to RFPs on multiple fronts.

I myself started my tech career embedded within an enterprise sales org. On a number of occasions I was the single thread owner of responding to RFP questionnaires. There, I quickly became aware of three primary frictions when responding to an RFP:

  1. Although the vast majority of responses have been previously responded to, it still takes significant manual time and effort to wordsmith old responses into a contextually relevant response.

  2. For more complex and nuanced questions, finding the right subject-matter-expert within your organization and ensuring a timely, adequate response takes the vast majority of the time and effort.

  3. Google Sheets and other collaborative spreadsheet tools just don't cut it when it comes to effectively project managing all the different stakeholders across product, legal, finance, security, etc to ensure timely, accurate, and elegant responses.

Fast forward to today and not much has fundamentally changed. These frictions are still a part of everyday life for sales organizations selling into enterprise.

That’s why we’ve founded Intent: to solve all the above frictions by building AI-automation and smart collaboration capabilities. That way, account reps can get time back to do what matters most: building relationships and winning deals.
